“Jour et Nuit” or day and night F. P. Journe, "Invenit et Fecit", "Octa Reserve de Marche", No. 58/99-02A. Made in a limited edition of 99 pieces in 2002.
Very fine and rare, astronomic, self-winding, platinum gentleman's wristwatch with large date, moon phases, ruthenium- plated gold dial plate and an 18K white gold F. P. Journe deployant clasp. Accompanied by a fitted ebony box and certificate. Two-body, solid, polished, concave lugs, transparent case back with 6 screws, sapphire crystals. Off-center, guilloché silver with painted radial Arabic hours and 5 minutes, subsidiary seconds dial, all secured by 3 screws to the ruthenium-plated 18K gold dial plate, 120-hour up-and-down sector, apertures for the large date and the moon phases. Blued steel "Journe" hands. Cal. 1300, rutheniumplated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 25 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic 4-arm balance with 4 timing weights adjusted to 5 positions, self-compensating free-sprung flat balance spring, off-center bidirectional 22K gold guilloché rotor. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 40 mm. Thickness 10 mm.
